Deutsche Meisterschaften

Schach-Team der ASG erkämpft Platz 24

Friedrichroda, Thüringen: Vom 26. bis zum 29.05.2019 trafen sich die besten Grundschulschach-Teams des Landes im Thüringer Wald, um die Deutsche Meisterschaft auszutragen. Das zweite Jahr in Folge dabei: die Mannschaft der Alt-Schmargendorf-Grundschule. Den direkten Qualifikationsplatz für das Turnier erspielte sich das Team bei der Berliner Schulschachmeisterschaft.

74 Mannschaften, 3 Tage, 9 Partien – die Deutsche Meisterschaft bedeutete für die Spieler nicht nur drei Tage schulfrei bei Aufenthalt im Berghotel mit Vollpension, Pool und hoteleigenem Kino, sondern harte Kopfarbeit, Schweiß und Tränen. Trotzdem und deshalb: die DSM 2019 war für das Team der ASG die Krönung eines erfolgreichen Schachschuljahres.

Im Ergebnis konnte sich die Mannschaft rund um Trainer Florent Mayer Platz 24 aus 74 sichern: Eine gute Leistung in Anbetracht der Vorjahresplatzierung (Platz 62 aus 76). In den offenen Parallel-Turnieren der DSM gelang der Mannschaft der 9. Platz im Duo, im Einzel belegte die ASG Platz 10.
