Schachturnier

Am 11.01.2018 fand das alljährliche Mannschaftsschachturnier der Berliner Schulen statt. Die Alt-Schmargendorf-Grundschule war mit zwei Mannschaften vertreten.

In der Wettkampfklasse VI (1. und 2. Klasse) mit Mateus, Paul, Noah und Antoine. Alles Jungs aus der 2. Klasse, die seit etwas mehr als einem Jahr in der Schach-AG dabei sind. Von Anfang an waren alle konzentriert bei der Sache. Nach einem 4:0 Auftaktsieg folgten vier Siege mit 3:1 und damit ungeschlagen der Turniersieg. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die Leistung von Antoine, der an Brett 4 alle fünf Partien gewinnen konnte. Es sei auch angemerkt, dass keiner der Jungs im Schachverein ist und wir zusätzlich den Pokal für die beste Mannschaft ohne Vereinsspieler erhalten haben.

In der Wettkampfklasse V (3. und 4. Klasse) sind wir als Mädchenmannschaft angetreten. Die Turnierausschreibung gibt vor, dass mindestens 3 von 4 Brettern mit Mädchen besetzt werden müssen. Wir kämpften mit Antonio, Ela, Phyllis, Gloria, Dunia und Elouise um die Verteidigung unseres Titels vom letzten Jahr. Antonio und Phyllis reisten etwas kränklich zum Turnier, kämpften sich aber wacker durch schwierige Partien und hatten am Ende eine positive Bilanz. Auch die anderen Mädchen zeigten gute Leistungen, so dass es am Ende wieder ganz knapp vor der Erich-Kästner-Grundschule zum Sieg in der Mädchenwertung reichte.
