ASG-Mannschaft gewinnt Berliner Schulschachturnier

Berlin, 14. Januar 2020: Dass die Alt-Schmargendorf-Grundschule eine feste Größe im Schulschach ist, bewies ihre 1. Mannschaft beim Schnellschachturnier der Berliner Schulen. Fünf Siege in fünf Runden sicherten der 1. Mannschaft den Turniersieg in Wettkampfgruppe V – angetreten waren 16 Mannschaften aus 13 Berliner Schulen. 

Starke Gegner, klarer Sieg: Die 1. ASG-Mannschaft schlug die Andersen-Grundschule, die Erich-Kästner-Grundschule, die Bürgermeister-Ziethen-Grundschule sowie die dreieins-Grundschule Pankow jeweils 3:1, in der letzten Runde setzte sie die eigene 2. Mannschaft 4:0 matt. 

Für den entscheidenen moralischen Push der Spieler sorgte der überraschende Turnier-Besuch ihres Co-Trainers Tom in Runde 4: Paul, der während der ersten Partien noch mit seiner neuen Position auf Brett 1 haderte, erzielte in der vierten Runde den wichtigsten Sieg gegen die dreieins-Grundschule Pankow. Mateus und Noah verloren an Brett 3 und 4 nur je ein einziges ihrer Spiele – Antoine, neu positioniert auf Brett 2, gewann alle fünf Partien, wenn auch eine davon mit Glück.

Gratulation an das Schach-Team der Alt-Schmargendorf-Grundschule rund um Trainer Florent Mayer und Chef-Betreuerin Juliane Eistert. Gespielt haben:
